The Hilltown can handle a wide range of terrain, and is great for all conditions riding.
- General Handling Feel: Stable & predictable on rougher terrain, but still sporty on the pavement.
- Ideal For: A wide range of terrain & riding, for those looking for one bike that can handle many roles.
Named after the gorgeous and remote hilltowns of Western Massachusetts, the Hilltown is an enormously versatile all-road machine perfect for exploring the prettiest places, whether paved or dirt.
The Hilltown is designed to perform well on both pavement and dirt roads, and with the right setup, can even handle light singletrack trail. The Hilltown can accommodate a wide range of tires, up to very large 700c x 40mm, or 650b x 47mm, to handle rough terrain with comfort and ease. Despite having loads of tire clearance, the Hilltown still keeps its chainstay length nice and tight for fun and sporty handling. Fender mounts and room to fit many studded tire options mean that the Hilltown is able to keep rolling year round, no matter what the conditions are. For those riding lots of miles in the dark, the Hilltown can easily be configured to run a generator hub and light for reliable, maintenance free, pedal-powered lighting. Whether running bikepacking style bags or traditional panniers via it’s rack mounts, the Hilltown is ready to be loaded up for touring or commuting. For those looking to ride pavement and dirt, especially with good speed and for long distances, the Hilltown is built for the job.
