The Hilltown+ is for those looking to cover every type of terrain, including the roughest.
- General Handling Feel: Stable & predictable, ready to tackle rough terrain.
- Ideal For: A wide range of terrain & riding. For all-road riders who ride & explore a lot of rough dirt & trail.
Built for all-road, all-terrain riders who want to cover everything from pavement to singletrack, but lean heavily toward off-road performance. The Hilltown+ is an all-purpose, do-all machine.
Thanks to a special chainstay yoke, which was 100% designed and machined in-house, the Hilltown+ can accommodate an enormous range of wheel and tire sizes to cover an insane range of terrain and riding genres, all with one bike.
The Hilltown+ can fit up to a massive 700c x 45 or 650b x 2.1" tire, to tackle rough terrain, as well as the sloppiest of weather conditions. While the special chainstay yoke allows large tire capability, it also keeps the chainstay length of the bike quite short, for a nimble and fast feeling ride. The tight wheelbase of the Hilltown+ means that when spec'ed with thinner sized tires, such as 700c x 32, or 650b x 42, the bike still feels fast, agile and sporty even on smoother terrain. The chainstay yoke is also designed to give loads of gearing clearance, so it is possible to use a wide range of gearing setups. The Hilltown+ can accommodate double chainring setups with rings up to a 50t/34t combo, or single-ring setups with up to a 44t.
The Hilltown+ is very touring capable, and allows the rider the ability to adventure well off the pavement, and deep into the woods. Optional fender mounts, and plenty of room for studded tires mean that the Hilltown+ is ready to ride in even the nastiest conditions, year round.

Proprietary Chainstay Yoke
It took over a year in development, but this special machined chainstay yoke, which was designed and made 100% in-house, was well worth the work.
Room for Massive Tires for Serious Off-Road Ability:
Fit up to a 650b x 2.1", or a 700c x 45!
Fit up to a 650b x 2.1", or a 700c x 45!
These chainstay yokes are made from super strong 4130 Chromoly, and through difficult machining operations are hollowed out to save weight.
The design features extensively rounded contours both internally and externally which help to distribute stresses, including torsional loads under heavy pedaling. The system is made up of four pieces, two for each chainstay, which are welded together. The welded seams are then ground down for a smooth look. Thin-walled tubing is welded at either end of the yoke pieces to complete the finished chainstays. The use of thin-walled tubing on either sides of the yokes help give a great ride feel: the stays are stiff during out of the saddle efforts, yet keep much of the 'natural' ride quality of conventional chainstays. |
Touring Capable:
Whether using bikepacking style bags, or racks & panniers, the Hilltown+ can handle loaded adventures well.
